Went out with Killernuts on his pontoon last night. We caught fish, that much I'll say. We did get enough to have taken in a limit if we were in a tourney. Biggest ones were about 5# The big story (to me) was the lack of larger shad in our cast nets. We worked hard for them but wound up with about a half dozen for our efforts. The little shad produced littler fish - as expected - including 3 little bullheads... I hate little bullheads. Mike did try 1 of em for flathead bait, but no takers. Bobbers and bottom produced
Good luck in the tournament everybody. I'll be on Erie for the next week or so. |

Thanks Mike. I think the rains will turn it up for you guys.
If you bank guys haven't been up there lately, the level has dropped so you have a LOT more opportunities for fishing spots - 'cause the shore line is more like a sidewalk right now.
For the boat guys, watch out... 3 and a half feet depth is now about one and a half feet. Prime for eating props. Watch that depth finder!
Right, Rick???? |
