Well, It was a pretty cold and windy night, but well worth the trip. We fished from about 6:30pm till 11:00pm and we caught 7 fish total and had countless bites. They were pecking like crazy. The few that actually took the bait and ran were caught. Nothing to big, maybe 3lb max.

We didn't really get any bites shallow, everything we caught was out in the channel in approximately 15' of water. The wind was so bad on the east back that we were forced to fish the west back in the middle section.

FYI, most of the courtesy docks are now in, but the water is back up a couple of feet with this weeks rain. By the looks of the fish, they have been gorging themselves. Hopefully the good bite holds up through the weekend.

And you finally got the trolling motor working, Everybody make sure to check with Mike before you go trying to wire a trolling motor on your boat! Make sure you talk to him about that......

Well... First you have to wire the trolling motor. Then you have to go back and double check all of your wiring. Next step is to rewire the plug, just to double check and make sure that you made good connections. The next step is to try the trolling motor again. Once that doesn't do the trick, you go back through everything one more time. Finally, give up, take Kevin fishing with you and have him show you that there is an on off switch on the foot pedal. Genius!

That sounds very similar to my expert technique. Don't take it hard Mike, we learn a lot more than the so called experts by diong it our way. I guarantee you won't make that mistake again. All that rewiring has made you a pro! Its easy for someone else to come in after all the hard work is done and claim victory over some super secret switch location. Keep your head high you are not alone!! Wink

I must say. Thise are the tightest, most well striped and connected wires I have ever seen in my life. I'm just glad I have such a smart partner. I am working on wiring up some 12v plugs right now and also some docking lights. Can't wait to see how well they work. At least I know where the switch is for those.
