Well, We finally found some fish at Oshay. We didn't catch a ton and they certainly weren't huge , but we got a steady bite.
The water levels are much closer to normal and the ramps were celar. For those of you who were out last tournament, the levels are down about 2 feet from last Saturday.
We primarily fished the north 1/2 of the reservoir. We ended up with 9 fish total on Saturday and they ranged from 1-1/2# to 4#. I forgot the depth finder at home, so I really can't give you a great idea of what depth we wer catching them at. From what my memory tells me, it was between 11 and 15ft.
Today we got 7 fish a several other hits. All 7 fish where taken still fishing on the bottom, but we also did some drifting. We got a couple of bites drifting north of home road in the middle of the lake, but most bites from drifting were within 50 yds of the bank.
It was a great b-day weekend. Fished everyday, watched the buckeyes and had a great cookout/party. |

nice, Mike.
Any trouble with gathering shad? Doc's last report on CJBrown sounded like the baitfish were pretty scattered there. |

the shad have been a little harder to come by. They were back in the coves about 2 weeks ago and now they seem to be scattered all about. We were getting a few here and a few there, but no good hauls. They have been either 3" or 6" fish.
I did real good at Hoover witht he shad at Hoover on Friday, 2 casts and I had plenty. They were in the back of a cover there and in around rip rap. |
