Well, I made it out this afternoon for a bit. Ice is off the north end, but no bites. I tried drifting a cork across the flats up north and also tried the bottom. It was just good to be out. Weather was beautiful and it beat sitting around the house.
Shad were hard to come by off the bank today. I was able to get a few and found several on the banks that had washed up. Lots of seagulls out and they were bomb diving out towards the middle.
Wish I could have had the boat out. Won't be long though. The ice was off the Bellpoint ramp, so north end is accesible by boat for all interested in trying. |
