Jerry,
Good meeting you this past weekend at Oshay, that boy of yours seems to love to fish, he told me he thought I would catch a flathead so he could see what one looked like, he ran up to the boat and asked me if we had caught one, Man we fished hard for them but only could come up with Channel Cats.
It will be a couple of months before I get back to that area again, but it was great meeting you .................Doc |

Thanks, Doc. Yes, I have created a monster. We tried for some Flats, but our suckers died on us. We had the air off too long and it was kind of a rough trip for them. It will be about a month before I can get back to a tourney and I think Aaron is going to let his older brother come with me. He was a little wore out. I don't know though, he really wants one of those nets and a couple guys bought some shad from him (he catches most of them). I think he wants to set up a table with bait for sale, next time.
Percentage to the Touney Sponsors of course!
Congrat's on Second and Big Fish, Fishing was slow for us, too many little ones. Great to meet you and we'll see you again, sometime. |

To all of you Doc, Chuck, Jerry and Aaron, It great to have you guys out there. Sorry to hear that you guys are going to be busy for the next couple but we look forward to your return! Aaron you make me jealous, I wish my son (3yrs old) were old enough to come out fishing with me at the tournaments! You are a lucky guy to be able to spend such good time with your dad! We can't wait until you all can make it back!
Thanks Again!

| Thanks also to a great tournament you put on, I'm still trying to figure that area out we fished hard for Flatheads, but could get only Channels to take the bait, we only had 4 takedowns so we were 4 for 4 but I was trying hard for a Flathead, I know they are in there and hopefully will get one before the year is out, I remember someone saying nobody has brought one to the scales during a tourney...............Doc |

... we were watching you throw the cast net - no easy feat - but man, you throw like you were born doing it.
Reminded me of how my son Aaron and I used to go all the time. Now he's grown and moved away and I'm stuck with Muskeye until the grandkids get a little older. |

Thanks, He's getting really good at it. Has his own net he bought with birthday money, but he tore it. We'll get it patched up.
I'm on my swing shift so I work the next 4 Saturdays. |

Hey Jammer Im one of the guys who bought the shad from your son, it helped alot we havent been able to catch many in Oshay and not for lack of trying. Yea after we ran outta that shad our bites stopped. It helped us catch 10.5 lbs and qualify for the Invitational. Glad to see a youngster get in to it like that I remember catching crawdads in creeks and putting them into a shoebox with wet newspaper and then selling them to guys that would fish the lake or pond i was at. Great summers... ahhh
Also Doc I was the guy who called you from OGF asking about taking a boat out with trolling motor only, we eneded up heading over to Seneca like you suggested and fished all night back in May, havent got that elusive Flathead yet but did get into alot of 2-6 lb channels down there, they were taking live 6 inch shad. Every time we got a run we thought it was gonna be a big flat. Oh well my time will come!! I HOPE.... ANyways thanks for the tips...
See ya guys back at the tourney some night... And good luck _________________ Baitcasters are junk! |

Thanks, Steelwolve. I wish we could have caught some more. We were running short on the few fresh Shad we had. I had some creek chubs on ice, and we were getting some cats on those.
I was at our local park last week and 2 kids came up and said they caught some crawdads. They had a two gallon bucket about half full of huge crawdads. They were headed to the upper lake to catch catfish. They must know something I don't. I don't fish the upper lake because it's a solid mass of weeds |
