During Saturday night's tournament, Muskeye was seated in the front of the Sea Turd. He caught a cat on his spinning rod straight out the front of the boat. It's not a big one, he can tell right off the bat. While he was reeling it in, his Garcia 6500 combo suddenly took a nose dive and the butt sprang straight up into the air and zip - right out into the water, over the side it goes.
Now Muskeye made the first natural reaction and tried to save the sinking rod by attacking it with the tip of the rod he was holding. No luck there, but the small fish he was playing changed directions and dove under the the sinking rod and the line. He wound up with both combos and both fish safely back in the boat. AND although fish number 1 had to be released (14 in.) the waterlogged 6500 still had a healthy 5 lber to add to the live well. He claims to this day he "herded" the fist fish on purpose. |

| I'm sure glad we have that rolling eye smiley option... it pretty well sums up fishing with Rick. |

Ok, that's a pretty good fish story. |
