What's up man, long time no hear. Hope your holidays went well. What do you think of the site? We are trying to get the dates finalized through the city of Columbus, but we wanted to get things rolling. Let me know how things have been.

Hi Mike. What a mild winter, SO FAR 'eh? I've been making lures and Saugeye fishing as of late. I also volunteer at the Prairie Oaks Metro Park. The new site looks pretty good & seems easy to navigate.
I was reading the 2007 info - opening the competition up to bank fishermen is going to be interesting... think I'll stick to the boat, as long as I have a partner anyway.

Yeah, I think we are going to give it a try. The tournament series we fished at deer creek last year allowed bank fishing and there weren't too many problems. If someone is going to cheat, than they are going to cheat. Wether it be from a boat or land. I hope we don't have any issues. If it is appearing that way, than we may have to make some changes again.
I almost went out catfishing last weekend, took a nap instead though. Where have you been augeye fishing at? Much luck?
BTW, Jeff and I placed third in that deer creek championship last year. Couldn't beleive it, we weighed in last abd we really though we were going to win. It was pretty exciting. |

Third ain't bad at all... what was your total weight?
Saugeye at night at Alum Creek - not much success so far this year. If they weren't so dang tasty I'd stick with cats! |

You done fishing fo a little while? Looks like a cold snap is setting in. I am thinking about going cattin this weekend if the weather cooperates. I can handle cold, but not rain. If you have any extra room next time you go saugeye fishing, let me know. I've never been, but I imagine it would be a pretty good time.
We had a little over 17lb with 6 fish. Our biggest was just shy of 4lb. We missed the big fish pot by a few ounces. You can go to http://ohiohillscatfishclub.com/september16dc.html and it lists the weights of the top three places.
Pass the word on the site if you can. The dates are looking good. I went to reserve the dates and pay today a the city and all of them were not booked yet. Heres hoping for a good year.
Talk to you later. |
