Well, need I say it again... COLD, WET, SNOWY, and ICY. Finatic and I hit up Alum this evening and it was miserable. It would have been worth it if I had at least caught a fish. Had a few bites, but the catching was left up to Fin tonight. Fin and his excellent circle hook setting skills landed him 3 cats total, with the biggest around 5lbs.

We launched at Howard Rd and fished north of the bridge. I've never really fished Alum before, but I really like the potential for some big cats.

The 5lb fish was caught still fishing in the channel at the head of an outside bend in the channel. The other two were caguht drifting on the insides of the bends in the channels.

Thanks for hosting, Mike. The big boat is a sweet set up for catfishing. Lots of room to move around. I was impressed with the over all set up and especially the performance of your Johnson motor.

The drifting was a good approach.

That Howard Road Ramp was definetely a challenge for loading in the dark (no lights) and in all that wind.
